1. Who is PELA (Preschool Emotional Literacy Awareness)?
We are a National Public Charity, since 2013, based in Tampa, Florida. Please feel free to read our entire website—we took our time in finding just how to achieve our objective, which was to find the ideal manner to serve preschool age children in the development of their emotional literacy competency. We carefully searched for the most committed and experienced provider with “in-the-trenches” experience and vision, not just academic acumen. Our founder determined he’d met just the person. He decided to proceed with caution—thus, we are a 501(c)3 with NO religious or political affiliations or agendas, only the total determination that preschool age children develop their emotional literacy skills fully.
Our Board of Directors are 100% diverse volunteer professionals (serving without compensation) who are committed to Emotional Literacy for Preschoolers—they understand what it means long-term.

2. What are our national ambitions?
We are uniquely focused on building a national trust based on preparing preschoolers (ages 3 - 5 years) how to understand and benefit from solid emotional literacy skills. The patented Emotion Play Center is uniquely designed to incorporate the various educational, social and emotional literacy skills during play time at their child size activity desk. It has been successfully tested for over 14 years by its inventor/manufacturer who has 40 years of experience in the field of early learning through actual preschool ownership and teaching in her various locations. It is custom Made in America and approved by CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) for children’s use.
The Emotion Play Center is hand made of wood with some acrylic parts with 200 Emotion Cards for 20 different Emotions and a 3 volume (5-book) set of books and 10 original songs. It is a Preschool Emotional Literacy Curriculum. Value: $4,999.99 (with a 10 year product warranty)

America’s children can no longer wait for government and politicians to pass bills that directly impact the most important developmental tools a preschooler can learn, so we are appealing to the business communities across America.
Learning about dealing with their emotions early in life not only equips the children for the rigors of life, but it pays dividends to society at large if we have a more civil, empathetic and emotionally literate citizenry, i.e., thereby resulting in better personal and work related relationships, better decision making as they grow up, better understanding of society at large, lower crime rates, and so many other positives.
